Del Monte Forest (population 5,840) is the unincorporated
jewel of the Peninsula, more commonly known as Pebble
Beach. A refuge for wildlife as well as its privileged
residents, Pebble Beach is home to the Lone Cypress,
miles of breath-taking shoreline, scenic 17-Mile Drive,
the Robert Louis Stevenson School and several championship
golf courses. Pebble Beach is a privately maintained,
gated community and home to some of the Peninsula's
most exclusive properties.
